The Late Antiquity and Byzantium Workshop is calling for papers for its 2009-2010 calendar. Submissions from graduate students with dissertation chapters or proposals are encouraged.
The workshop has as its focus the Eastern Mediterranean World from 330-1453 CE, as approached from a variety of viewpoints, including Late Rome, Byzantium, Early Islam, Slavic Studies, Crusader Periods, and Eastern Church Studies.
The workshop will usually meet Tuesday afternoons in Cochrane-Woods Art Center 152 or 156 at 4:30 p.m. Those who would like to present should contact Jason Banks (jabanks@uchicago.edu).
