Ancient / Medieval History - Roanoke College invites applications for a one-year replacement position at the level of Visiting Assistant Professor of History. Candidates specializing in late antiquity or early medieval are especially encouraged to apply. Course load is three courses each semester, likely including elementary Latin, a survey of Roman history, the first half of the world history survey, and a course in the candidate's area of expertise. Candidates should have or be near the completion of the Ph.D. We require a strong commitment to undergraduate education and teaching experience is preferable.
