In the frame of the International Center for the Study
of Late Antiquity “Theodosius the Great”, the fourth edition of the
International Colloquium New Perspectives on Late Antiquity will be held in
Segovia, 25-27 October 2012. This year the theme of the congress is the Eastern
Empire from the 4th to the 6th centuries, from the usual interdisciplinary
perspective of this research group and with special emphasis on the relation
between the frontiers and the capital of the Eastern Empire. Among the invited speakers:
J.M. Blázquez (UCM), C. Markschies (Humboldt-Univ. Berlin), J. Niehoff-Panagiotidis
(Freie Univ.-Berlin), S. Montero (UCM), P. Barceló (Univ. Potsdam), N. Christie
(Univ. Leicester), E. Livrea (Univ. Firenze), C. Blánquez (UCM), J. Signes
(Valladolid), J.J. Ferrer (Castellón), C. Martínez Maza (Málaga), A. Merrils
(Univ. Leicester), and others.
Additionally some shorter papers (about 20 min.) shall
be selected by the Scientific Committee. Please send your proposal before July
