Contract type and duration
Paris-Sorbonne University offers one post-doctoral contract. Position will start on February 1st, 2013 for duration of one year renewable once.
Research topic
Roman, Vandal and Byzantine Africa, considered especially from archeological matter. Emphasis will be preferably placed on later period and the various aspects, especially practical, of that time.
Requirement
Applicant must have his PhD within the last five years. Languages : French language is necessary and one other European language.
Conditions
Researcher will live and work in Paris during his contract. He/she will join the Classical and Late Antiquity Center (UMR 8167), under the responsibility of Pr. Francois Baratte. He/she will contribute to the works of the Research Center and will provide at the end of his contract an article on the results of his project for the UMR publications. He/she must be available to eventually participate in the fieldworks of the Archeological Mission at Haidra, Tunisia.
Payment
Salary will be around € 1,938.
